Rimba, 7th May, 2018 DES personnel attended a CMMS COSWIN 8i Course which was co-organized by DES and SIVECO GROUP. The course involved a total of 95 participants from various sections and branches from across DES. The personnel which were divided into 5 groups commenced the course on 30th April 2018 and ended on 7th May, 2018.
Among the objectives of this course is to upgrade the existing COSWIN 7i CMMS to COSWIN 8i Full-Web Architecture with rich user-interface. It also aims to improve performance across the web experience, database search queries and report generation. Additionally, it aims to facilitate the end-users' workstation maintenance not requiring Java client.
CMMS aims to transform the Department of Electrical Services into a highly efficient and productive organization through streamlining and automation of current work processes, information management and decision making by having to apply these new upgraded features.
This is in alignment with the E-Government objectives of utilizing the latest in computing technology to minimize operational and maintenance costs. It also aims to centralize Knowledge Base as the foundation for computer-based training infrastructure.
The course was delivered by Mr. Anass Bakrim, Business Consultant from Sivico Benelux.
