Dear Sir,
My name is Jean Carlos and I work at Dekra testing and certification Spain.Nice to greet you.
If you can reply to this email
jeancarlos.campos@dekra.com, I would be very grateful. Sorry for the inconvenience.
We are contacting you because we would like to confirm our current knowledge about what is needed to introduce Type 2 Mode 3 charging cables for electric vehicles in the Bruenei Darussalam market.
By Mode 3 charging cables, we mean:
* The cable connects the charging station to the electric vehicle.
* Single-phase and three-phase charging in alternating current.
* The control and electronics are not in the cable, but integrated in the charging station.
* By Type 2, we mean: IEC 62196 compliant plugs (also called Mennekes plugs).
Are there currently any additional national requirements that may apply to such a product in Brunei Darussalam at the environmental level?
If so, could you please provide me with the necessary requirements for the Mennekes cable, and is there any regulatory document detailing this? If so, could you please provide it to me?
If there are no additional national requirements, it can be said that the requirements necessary to introduce this cable in the Brueni market are as follows:
* it is sufficient that the charging cable complies with EN 50620 (LVD) and the RoHS, REACH and WEEE requirements of the EU directive.
We understand that the environmental requirements needed in your case would be equivalent to WEEE /RoHS.
Could you please help me to clarify this? Any kind of comments would be of great help to me.
Currently we do not really know what kind of requirements are requested for this type of cables, if you can give me some support to inform our customers correctly, I would be eternally grateful.
If you cannot help me in this case, could you provide me with a contact/authority that regulates this? Or refer me to someone who can help me?
Thank you very much for your help and answer.
Have a nice day
Best regards,
Jean Carlos
